Just arrived at the TechEd. Registration went smooth. No line (I got to use the MCT/MVP non-existent queue, but the others were not too bad either) to receive my passes and collect the bag.
Each edition of TechEd it is always a surprise as to what bag and shirt you get. Well, this year’s t-shirt is blue (in case you’re interested) and the bag is a wide backpack that has lots of storage compartments and fits a laptop (!).
It’s still 5 minutes to the Keynote speech, so I thought I’d drop by at the Communications Network. I tried to Voice over IP phones here. Really nice: normal handset and free phone calls all over the world with crystal clear quality. Lots of people making that quick call to Israel, Germany, whatever.
And, a small addendum to my Need to bring list: take a long-sleeved shirt or training jacket along to keep you warm in the session rooms. There quite a lot of airco blowing in there.
