Just came back from the dotNed meeting where I did my talk. I was given 1 hour and 15 minutes to rant about all the great features in ASP.NET Whidbey. And there is a lot to talk about. I didn’t quite make it in 5 quarters of an hour and took 6+ instead. Seemed to me that noone minded the extra time.
Most of the demo’s went OK. I didn’t have time to dry-run all of them, so most of it was “fingers crossed” as it went. Apart from a weird error on the WebPartZone (error creating control), no major mess-ups. Check me out during one of the demo’s:
After the first 5 minutes I was able to make a little joke on something, and it made me loose all tensing. After that, time passed like a blur. The guys from the catering came in to bring the food and only then did I realize I had been talking for quite some time. It had been a while since I did any talks. I think it was the three talks at the Conference to the Max in May 2003. More than half a year ago.
Next talk will be my session on codenames and Whidbey at the Conference to the Point on 12th of December for the SDGN.
